I had an awesome day today, very productive yet slightly relaxing at the same time - much needed - I don't relax enough!!
My first training session was cardio at 630am - the gym was SOOOOO dead, perfect, I love it like that. I also love the fact that the weather is mild right now so I enjoy my walk to and from the gym!
I trained Chest with my coach - he really pushed me hard but I think I kept up OK....he could tell you if that were true but I am fairly confident! We finished with an almighty push up competition which I loved - I don't give up! I won....although we did work a handicap system based upon the fact that I had trained and he hadnt! Next time I want to win with no handicap deal - then it will be a real victory!! Me, competitive in the gym or in sports.....haaaa.....guilty!!!!!
My quiet time was spent studying and reading today - anatomy and physiology - it seems to be sinking in and I have a real interest in the subjects which make it easier - much different to being at school and being forced to take certain subjects that you have NOOOOO interest in!!
My last workout was this evening and yet again the gym was really quiet - I hit my abs and a little more cardio with my faithful ipod!!!
Bed time soon, it's an early night again as I am up at 5am and I always aim to get 7.5/8hours quality rest per night where possible!
I am just chilling, catching up on emails, of course talking to you and listening to one of my most favourite tracks ever....All That I Am... Joe....it is from one of his really early CD's - either the 1st or 2nd - awesome, not gym music but a beautiful track!
Today has been a great day although I had my first lower energy day for quite a while....for some reason, from morning until early evening my energy level was lower than usual - I fought through it and managed a great bicep/tricep workout with my amazing coach and also 3 cardio sessions!!!! The reward was enough - cheat meal night tonight - yummy!
My day was pretty busy but somewhat relaxing - I took some time to study for an exam which i have on Monday and everything is starting to make sense...at least I hope!!!!
Time for bed soon, up bright and early for my first cardio session at 630am - training with Coach (chest) at 930am and then another cardio session at some point in the afternoon! Add to that study, cooking and hopefully some relaxing and there you have my Sunday!
Time is flying by SO quickly - another week has passed by! I think as I am in such a routine right now AND so busy the time just disappears and the days slip into one another!
I have to say I am SOO happy that we are enjoying some beautiful weather here - when I got up at 5am, it was soooo warm - perfect - and when I walked home from the gym at 730pm.....still beautiful and warm!
Training is going great, although with 3 sessions a day, I have to say, It was a fairly slow walk back home after the last session this evening! I trained with my ever wonderful training partner and will then meet my also every wonderful Coach for training both Saturday and Sunday mornings - boy am I going to work hard this weekend!
Fortunately, other than training and a few jobs to do, I intend to relax and also to study for my exams which I have on Monday and Tuesday!
As you will be able to tell from the fact that I am not blogging so much as usual, I am having another manic week! Manic in a really great way though - very productive, educational and of course active!
Time presses on and I am now only just over 5 weeks out from my big day - very exciting! I can honestly say that I am delighted with my progress so far although there is much hard work to be tackled in the next 5 weeks!
I have been training at a new gym in the mornings - well actually, it is in the same chain as my regular gym, however, it is literally 2 minutes drive from where my classes are and therefore couldn't be more perfect! Added to that, the staff are really warm, welcoming and friendly and the gym itself is fantastic - being that I spend around 3 or so hours a day in a gym - a change of scenery is never a bad thing! I quite literally pack everything for the day - clothes, kit, food, water and leave my house at 6am each morning, ready to start cardio at 630am! I even met a very cool person who is on my wavelength when it comes to music so that is a nice bonus!
Here are some progress pictures for you - taken at 6 weeks out!x
I have just had the most amazing hamstring workout with my most amazing coach - enough said! Truly awesome and I worked my little gym socks off! Coach really pushes me hard and we both finished off the workout by doing our calves together...ooh, and he did join me for walking lunges too!
Today has been great, my schedule is very hectic with studying, training, cooking, dieting, etc....but I actually love it - it keeps me very focussed, disciplined and organised...however, it doesn't allow me too much time for emails and website just now so please do forgive my brief blogs!
I am rushing off to bed now to ensure I get enough sleep before my alarm goes off at 5am!
I do hope that everyone is having a lovely week so far!x
I have become a lousy blogger of late and am determind to change that from this week onwards!
Things have been very hectic between training, working, dieting, cooking and recently studying too! It's all exciting stuff but doesn't leave too much time for anything else! In fact I am awake at 5am each morning and leaving home by 6am! It certainly keeps me disciplined and I got into a great routine by the end of last week!
I had the most wonderful cheat meal this week - I went out for the first time with a special friend - we had a fantastic time and I ate some FANTASTIC food! It was totally yummy and makes every day of dieting well worth it! Having a weekly cheat meal does have science behind it physique wise but for me, the discipline side of things work great - anything that springs to mind food wise during the week, I simply put to one side mentally and then indulge if I wish on a Saturday evening! My diet is incredibly strict and I think more than anything a mental release is nice once a week. I have to say I am loving my nutritional plan - no cravings and no hunger and the food is really straight forward and easy to prepare - perfect for the not such perfect master chefs amongst us haha!!!!
This week has been totally manic so far! I am taking a course right now and am finding it so interesting - we have been studying anatomy and physiology and I find all the theory behind exercise and the body totally intriguing!
I am fitting 3 training sessions a day in around that - mainly by being ultra organised and also by getting up at 5am every day - yes really! I literally pack everything I am going to need for the day in the boot of my car and off I go - it is not a bad thing as I miss the traffic and am training in the gym close to the course venue by 645am!
Training is going great and things are really shaping up - making me a very happy girl! Only 6.5 weeks to go - I just knew that time would really fly by!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and enjoying the sunshine!x
This is me today, just before the awesome hamstring workout and just before my Coach nearly wiped that smile off my face with his hard work tactics in the gym - thank you Coach, totally awesome workout!
Ummmm....Bank Holiday?? I think it passed me by....my day has been manic but fantastic!
Here's how it went.....
6am Early morning power walk outside - 40 minutes before breakfast - really enjoyed that!
745am Left home for training course - yes, I am back studying, all be it on a short course but it is fun to be back in a classroom again....after let's just say a few years haha!
130pm Left training course for home and was so happy to bump into a very special neighbour who I have known since I was about 10 years old I think!
4pm Second cardio session of the day....30 minutes on the cross trainer....ipod ran out of battery - I missed my music for the last 10 minutes
5pm Ate my 4th meal of the day - cod and lettuce...oooh and some cucumber as a treat haha!
6pm Hamstring training....um....the most amazing hamstring workout ever with my amazing coach - I honestly nearly fell over at one point...ooh and some calves to finish and then 20 minutes more cardio just for good measure
745pm Necessary chat with very young "hot" bodys in the gym haha!
8pm Home for last meal of the day and here I sit now blogging for my website and catching up on emails!!
What a terrible blogger I have been this week - I am so sorry - time is just flying by. No excuses but things have been really busy!
I am really happy with my progress so far - 7 weeks to go and counting as of today!
I have already trained twice for the day (1130am) 50 minutes low intensity cardio before breakfast - the gym was DEAD - heaven for me!! and then an awesome back and biceps workout with my ever wonderful and supportive coach. He has my training all mapped out for me and I have to say I am very excited. We have upped the intensity and I am really enjoying the new method of training...even though it is really tough on my body!
Diet continues, disciplined as ever - I am in such a routine with it all now that I have to say it is not a problem to follow! Cravings and hunger pangs are pretty much zero and eating cod and lettuce is becoming as normal as brushing my teeth each morning!haha!
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend - it is beautiful so far - hooray!x
